Water Cooled Chiller Principle of Operation
The water-cooled chiller achieves cooling through a refrigeration cycle system, mainly composed of four core components: compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator.
Compression process: The low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas is compressed by the compressor into high-temperature and high-pressure gas, which enters the condenser.
Condensation and heat dissipation: High temperature refrigerant exchanges heat with water in the condenser, releasing heat and condensing into high-pressure liquid, which is then carried away by the cooling water.
Throttling and pressure reduction: High pressure liquid refrigerant is throttled by an expansion valve to become low-temperature and low-pressure wet vapor, which enters the evaporator.
Evaporative heat absorption: Low temperature refrigerant absorbs heat from circulating water in the evaporator, causing the water temperature to decrease, while evaporating into gas and re entering the compressor cycle.
This process continues to operate, stabilizing the temperature of the circulating water within the set range, meeting industrial cooling needs, and featuring high efficiency, energy saving, and precise temperature control.
